Associate Status
Since 2007, MLCS became an Associate School with Living Sky School Division No.202. The Living Sky School Division No.202, is situated in northwest central Saskatchewan. They encompass a wide geographical area including the Battlefords, many communities, villages, First Nation communities and Hutterite Colonies

-Provide an inviting classroom environment for students - with clear expectations, consistent consequences and specific academic goals.
-Identify the essential outcomes for each grade level and help each student achieve those outcomes by addressing their individual needs and learning styles.
-Teach for understanding, frequently assessing students' understanding and providing a variety of opportunities for students to demonstrate mastery.
-Work collaboratively in developing instructional strategies, designing methods of assessment and advancing the vision of school
-Involve parents and community in the learning process by creating shared learning experiences
-Promote a positive school climate by modeling the qualities and characteristics that we hope to instill in our children
-Involve parents in the education of their children by keeping them informed of student progress and offering suggestions for assisting their children.
